If you'd like a user flair reflecting that. I just bought a Mac Book air, so It's running the most current OS (OS X I believe?). I downloaded, which is turning out great so far, but I seem to have run into a wall when trying to play Playstation (one) games (the game i'm trying to play is ). When I try to put the file into OpenEmu, the program will tell me that it loaded, and I am able to view it as a game, but it isn't in the Playstation section, and when I try to play, the program crashes.

I can't seem to find anything to resolve this issue. When I go to the help section on github, the site tells me that there are only a select number of consoles playable on OpenEmu, but in my settings I am able to pick through various other console systems along with some handheld systems, so I activated Playstation. I don't know if that is why. I haven't tried another game, but currently Tony Hawk Pro Skater is downloading and it is taking a long time, so I will try once it's done. Thank you for any help.

Yeah, you have the experimental build (current version is 1.0.1). Disc based games need to be in BIN / CUE pairs currently, though IMG / CUE is also supported.

If your game is some other format, like MDS / MDF or ISO / CUE and there's a whole bunch of MP3 or WAV sound files in there too, you need to either try a different download or convert it yourself (it's not hard, I can help you with that if you want). Make sure the BIN / CUE files are in the same directory and named exactly the same, it's also important to make sure the first line in the CUE sheet has the name of the BIN file exactly -. Once you're sure of that you can drag the game into OpenEmu. You only need to drag the CUE sheet, and OpenEmu will begin importing the game. The file name must be identical on the first line of the CUE sheet for various reasons, but one of them is so OpenEmu knows to drag in the BIN file along with it.

Once it's done importing,. Another thing that is important to note - when deleting a disc based game from within OpenEmu,, currently only the CUE sheet will be deleted. I'm not sure why, but hey it's an experimental build.

So make sure you go into the folder where you have OpenEmu keep your games and delete BIN files of games you know you've deleted. By default the folder is /Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/OpenEmu/Game Library/roms EDIT: Looking at OpenEmu's GitHub,, but probably wont be implemented until the next official update to the app. Disc-based games need to be in BIN / CUE pairs for OpenEmu. Unzip that file, see what files you have inside it. With any luck you should have a BIN / CUE pair, though commonly PS1 games are also ripped into other formats. If you have something other than a BIN / CUE pair, it can be converted easily.

(Bro tip: get PS1 games from, most of their rips are in lovely BIN / CUE format.) Unzip that zip file you have, tell me what you have after that. If you tried to import it to OpenEmu as a standalone zip file,, as all Arcade / MAME games must be in zip format (but that's a conversation for another day). All you need to do is make sure they're both named the same, and make sure the first line inside the CUE sheet has the name of the BIN file inside a set of quotes. Drag the CUE sheet into OpenEmu and once it's done importing the game, you should be able to play.

If you're bothered about box artwork (like I am) I keep all of mine locally, in a Dropbox folder. Most of it has been somewhat 'optimised' so it's coloured correctly and not a gigantic file size. You might find it useful.
