Geniatech Usb Tv Box Software
Hi there, I bought an Imito Mx1 together with an Levelone USB0501 as ethernet-usb adapter. The hub of the 0501 works out of the box, but the ethernet is not recognized. As far as my researches have come it should be a driver issue. The guy putting together the rom im using (finless rom 1.4) told me he would need an.ko file to include it in the rom.
Supported Models. UTV3 Driver USB2.0 TV BOX Driver MINI USB TV BOX Driver USB DVB-T Hybrid Driver USB ATSC Hybrid Driver USB2.0 Video Device Driver USB2.0 Video BOX Driver.
Could anyone help me cross-compile it? I unzipped the windows driver and found in the.inf a hint that its a lan9500 chip leading me to the smsc95xx driver.
The driver smsc95xx for the usb0501 can be found in the net as a.c/.h file, from the homepage also a linux driver can be downloaded. The kernel source for the mx1 is not available as finless bob said, he mentioned using the jellybean kernel source what information would be needed else? The mx1 device: sorry but i'm really new to this and searching for help. I'm not lazy and willing to learn. Thx for ur time and hopefully help, toby. Hi yobikap, i tried your file as the rom guy told me: - put the.ko in /system with all permissions - get su - insmod smsc95xx.ko but then i get the error message: insmod: init_module 'smsc95xx.ko' failed (No such file or directory) i copied it exactly as the file i found somewhere on the net (smsc9500-aug052010.ko) that i treid first, where i get 'Exec format error'. You can be assured that i'm not sloppy and mistyped anything or so.
Have you got any idea whats wrong? Thanks for ur help, toby. Hiho yobikap, i managed to connect via adb (thx for your link) and followed your instructions. Unfortunately the result was the same as i did earlier with root explorer&terminal emulator: insmod: init_module 'smsc95xx.ko' failed (No such file or directory) when i check afterwards with root explorer the.ko is in the modules folder so 'push' worked and also the permissions are set correctly. Do you think its probabely still a kernel thing? Which kernel did you use to cross-compile?
Could you probabely show me how to cross compile so i can try different kernels etc myself? Download Free Asghar Ghori Rhcsa Pdf Merge on this page. Or do you need a lot of experience for that?
Thx again, toby. Hi, the dmseg.txt: do i see it correctly that he recognizes the lan-usb adapter as lan9514? I'm not sure if mk808 and the mx1 have the same hardware? (but u probabely know more about that than myself ^^) anyways i have found some maybe interesting links: this is the rom i'm using. There is a kernel.img inside.
I don't know what type of file you need the kernel as. About teh chip (with some links to sources) the kernel, a guy building a linux system for these devices, uses and the thread to it: thank you, toby. Hi yobikab, thanks again for ur help. I tried the new file and the 'no such directory or file'-error is gone indeed. Unfortunately it still doesnt seem to work. When i use insmod it takes 10 seconds (i assume it's installing/executibg the file) and then the mx1 restarts.
After the restart there is no sign of the smsc in lsmod. When i take a dmesg dump it seems as if there is no information in it, just the stuff during boot etc:S see attached file. Is there a way to log what insmod is doing, so we can get information what happens before the restart?
Thanks, toby.
