This Compaq Presario from 2010 was a very basic model, and the owner's demands were higher than what the computer's stock configuration could handle. After a CPU, RAM and PSU upgrade, the computer now handles the owners demands with ease without lag. These things aren't that hard to upgrade as long as you know exactly what parts to get. I also have to say I am disappointed both for Compaq and AMD for several reasons. HP/Compaq loves to throw the old Bestec ATX-250-12Z power supply into systems that really would do better with a more modern 300w unit with up-to date connections. The 250-12Z 250W power supply is a fairly well-built unit (with exception of capacitor problems), but it really needs some updated connections, and could use a little more 12V power. It also seems like AMD loves to toss their Sempron chips onto older motherboard/memory platforms.
